Love must be exercised to be developed. Fear also develops as it is exercised. Worry or fretting develops fear.
You cannot fret and worry and walk in Love at the same time. They are exact opposites.
Fretting or worry, envy or jealousy work with and by fear. Faith and Hope work by Love.
For many, even born-again bible believing people fretting, worry, envy, and jealousy are a habitual lifestyle. Our habitual lifestyle is supposed to be Love Faith and Peace.
Philippians 4: 6 – 7 (Amplified Classic) Do not fret or have any anxiety about anything, but in every circumstance and in everything, by prayer and petition (definite requests), with thanksgiving, continue to make your wants known to God. (7) And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
The Bible even tells us what we are to be thinking on instead of fretting, worry, envy, and jealousy.
Philippians 4: 8 – 9 (NKJV) Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. (9) The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.
